Quick capture and the web clipper

Adding a line from anywhere on your computer, and saving web pages as notes.

Quick capture

Press Ctrl+Alt+W while Jotzen is running, even in another program: a small box opens, and Enter adds the line to today’s daily note, as a todo when Todo is ticked (markers work). Change the shortcut in Settings → Quick capture.

The web clipper

The Jotzen Clipper extension for Edge, Chrome and other Chromium browsers saves the current page, or the part you selected, as a Markdown note: the readable article, with its images saved as attachments and the source and date at the top.

  1. In Jotzen, open Settings → Web clipper, turn it on and copy the key.
  2. In your browser, open the extensions page, turn on Developer mode, choose Load unpacked and pick the clipper’s folder.
  3. Click the extension, paste the key under Connection, and clip.
